The series of exhibitions Tell Me More presents diverse, unexpected aspects of the local illustration scene. Illustration bursts out of the page and dons new material expression in various mediums – two- and three-dimensional sculpture, textile, photography, and animation. In preparation for the exhibitions, the request (or claim) “Tell me more” was addressed to key artists, from different generations, working in the world of Israeli illustration today. They were asked to think of new works that would express the “story” (who tells it, who asks to be told, and what role the artist plays in the story); and no less importantly, the “more” (why and when an image does not suffice and requires more).
