In this project, a detail of an installation first presented by Federman in the Israeli Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, the artist creates a simulation of a beach. Alongside the representative signs of a beach she constructs a peeping booth in which one can view a single minute of a Tel Aviv sunset by inserting a Shekel coin. The work addresses the commercialization of nature and its transformation into an artificial commodity whose value is determined by economic and political interests.
