A work of art is supposed, but not obliged, to reveal to us something about the artist, his life, his soul, some biographical fragments.
What was it exactly that made Uziel imprison the raft in a child-like pool, neutralize it, and deprive it of its vocation, of its very essence – its buoyancy? What kind of power confines it to the bottom of the pool, and what is the motivation behind its denaturalization? Only the most naïve spectators among us would believe that all this effort was merely intended to furnish the small aquarium goldfish with a vast and exciting living space.
