Exhibiting Alony’s sculptures along the museum’s grand staircase underscores their eclectic and exotic aspect – as if they were a collection of souvenirs and antiques. The materiality and texture of the objects are stressed against their rhythmic architecture. The masks, towers and small objects reoccur in Alony’s sculptural repertoire.
