Tears Go Black, 2009, video installation, 2:20 min.
The dripping socket is set in the wall, forming a fatal connection between electricity and water.
Black liquid slowly gathers on the floor, gradually reflecting the ceiling towards a flat unity. There is no high and low, everything merges into one. The black water inches and endeavors to expand, fill, cover, while at the same time allowing a dialogue between top and bottom through the neon light emanating from it.
It is a lyrical work that addresses the transmutation of energy into substance and the transformation the image undergoes from being flat to possessing volume that reflects the space.
