Nira Pereg’s work NO WIND shot in San Diego USA 2011, presents a unique phenomenon of human billboards. In relevance to Pereg’s previous works, this project was shot while observing the urban space and re-examining a format borrowed from the language of protest to that of advertisement, thus constructing a choreography that bears both poetic and political meaning. Although a documentary, the style of Pereg’s editing is both poetic and strongly political, providing a sympathetic and refreshing perspective on the video’s subjects.
