The work is comprised of 15 etchings, a catalogue of knots and anchors used on boats. The etchings are based on a kitschy artifact which usually serves as an ornament in seafood restaurants and sailing clubs. Attoun emphasizes the human presence and absence in the works. The organic body that devised the knots and recreates them, operates in a chaotic dimension in comparison to the order manifested in the catalogue: although its actions have order and symmetry of their own, they also posses a certain degree of variance and perpetual transformation. Attoun makes room in her work for romantic or emotional content within a strict orderly theme. She opts for the ancient etching technique, in order to maintain the singularity of each print, which is slightly different than the next one, unlike the products of digital duplication, which are completely identical to one another.
