For over 25 years Avi Patimer has been collecting, renovating and building musical instruments from various cultures and eras. His unique collection also includes reconstructions of ancient musical instruments now extinct. Patimer recreated these instruments based to historical, musicological and ethnographic data. The charanguita, a type of guitar found in Bolivia and Chile; the Indian sarod; European mandolins; and a lyre-like biblical harp are among the 140 different instruments found in Patimer’s collection.
