The video work Under the Bridge is composed of a sequence of footage shot while driving slowly under bridges along the Coastal Road. The bridges are suspended between sky and ground, delineating and segmenting the sky. The gaze is carried upwards, searching for the sublime, interrupted by each passage beneath a bridge.
The bridge connecting the banks and sides is observed from below, underscoring the gap between the physical and earthly to the heavenly, sublime and unattainable. The sensation of unbridgeable distance is emphasized by the infinite repetition.

Toeplitz matrix was formulated about a century ago by the mathematician Otto Toeplitz, the artist’s great grandfather. In the work, the artist’s partner, a mathematician himself, explains the matrix.
The work emphasizes the ability to abstract and convey complex mathematical data through basic means without the use of contemporary technology. In a monotone, patient voice assisted by pencil sketches, the meaning of the order begins to take shape, the ruling principles become clear.
