The works of Alma Shneor, in both video and still photography, are characterized by wit, a fresh point of view, perceptiveness and precise aesthetics. In her video works she examines the role of the woman at her home in a new, humoristic manner that nods towards the artistic tradition of Japanese cinema. Alongside her photographic series “Sunset 21”, engaged with the Romantic tradition in photography and painting, Shneor’s diverse works set her as a vital, intelligent artist possessing a broad perspective.
