A place, like a person, has a biography and a story of its own. Viewing Museum Tour is like a nostalgic journey through past exhibitions. The viewer is invited to reminisce and revisit the exhibitions he saw and experienced or, alternatively, discover what he missed and fill in the gaps. The camera travels through the museum spaces, according to a visitor’s natural route, documenting its impressions. It passes slowly between the exhibitions, generating a range of diverse viewpoints. It thus provides a general view while drawing nearer and lingering in an attempt to treasure and sharpen its gaze.
Museum Tour is an ongoing dynamic project. As a documentary and historical record of the Herzliya Museum of Art in particular and Israeli art in general, the work strives to preserve a living memory of the exhibitions after they have ended and infuse life into them alongside the remaining catalogues and other accompanying publications.
