The exhibition explores the subject of the forest, it includes works by fourteen artists, Israeli and international, who relate, each in his or her own way, to the world of the forest and the associations that arise from it. The works were executed in various mediums – video, painting, drawing and installation – and present a wide range of contexts and references. Many artists describe the dark and passionate side of the forest from which demons and fears emerge, others refer to the flora and fauna as well as the historical and political strata of the place. The works move among the various mediums and plains, and between reality and imagination, thus presenting a complex picture of the forest and its meanings.
